I have loved art since I was a little girl. As a child, I spent many happy hours creating and illustrating stories. I filled countless notebooks with these, combining my love of reading with drawing. I also painted landscapes, and once made a mosaic from painted mustard seeds.
In college, I began to collect famous quotations that struck a chord with me, and decorated my sketch books with collages and phrases. After graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from Moore College of Art in Philadelphia, I spent some years in advertising. Finally, however, the need to express my own art more fully led me to launch Lydia’s Land Handmade Greeting Cards.
Today, I still enjoy creating new styles, and I love to hear from customers who appreciate my art. Thanks to you, I wake up every morning looking forward to “going to work”!
About My Handmade Greeting Cards
Our distinctive handmade greeting cards for all occasions are characterized by warm, positive, uplifting quotations and sentiments. I decorate each card with my original artwork, using a wide variety of materials and textures, such as marbleized paper, painted tissue paper, fabric ribbon, acrylic paint, and more. All are created on 100% post-consumer-fiber recycled paper, processed chlorine-free. The vast majority retail for just 3.75, an incredible value in the handcrafted market. They are featured in some of America’s finest card, gift, stationery, and book stores.
