About Lydia's Land
I've loved art since I was a little girl. As a child, I spent many happy hours creating and illustrating stories. I filled many notebooks with these "graphic novellas", combining my love of reading with drawing. I painted landscapes, and once made a mosaic from painted mustard seeds. In high school, I began collecting famous quotations that struck a chord in me, and decorated my sketch books with collages and phrases. I guess this led me to where I am today. After graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from Moore College of Art in Philadelphia, I spent several years in the advertising industry. Finally, I went to work for myself, launching Lydia's Land Greeting Cards. Today, I still enjoy creating new styles, and I love to hear from customers who appreciate my art. Thanks to you, I wake up every morning looking forward to "going to work"!
